Just wrapping up work on my last show of the year, where I've worked as Sound Supervisor for two venues and video design on a play called Fortune and Men's Eyes, directed by Kate Revz.

To quote wikipedia... "Fortune and Men's Eyes is a 1967 play by John Herbert about a young man's experience in prison, exploring themes of homosexuality and sexual slavery. The title comes from William Shakespeare's Sonnet 29..."

Well.. I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later.
A fellow dA-er notified me that some guy in Toronto has been selling my shots of Billy Corgan outside his gigs.
Talk about gutted.. I've always hated art thieves, but to have someone take your work, and profit from it.. It's depressing.
Anyone else had similar problems? Or know of my work existing outside of dA-land?

Better news, one of my shots is featured here: [link] on an Interpol recording site, which is quite cool.

Also - I've officially finished classes at NIDA! Still have a year of studying to go, but it's all work experience and secondments. I'll be in London's West End mid-Feb to mid-March working with the sound department on the musical Priscilla. Can't.. Fucking.. Wait.

Hopefully will have more time to shoot gigs now, can't wait to get back into it.

I'm twenty-one now - I'm not sure what that means, apart from that I could legally drink in America and my mother is acting so sentimental I'm starting to get scared.

So, got an email the other day from a UK based magazine that wants to use this shot:

As their front cover. Super cool No pay, but having the shot used is novelty enough.

Busy busy at uni, been back for what seems like forever, until I look at my calendar and realise it's only been just over a month..
Currently sound designing for the play Summer folk by Gorky, starring the 2nd Year Actors. It's pretty cool, been listening to this kickass guy Andrei Krylov playing Russian folk music on classical guitar for the past few weeks, it's nice. Got a shitload of assessments, they're a bit of a killjoy but it's all part of the experience that is NIDA, and it's just a joy to be part of it. Woo *mush*.

Been to the Big Day Out, and Interpol since the last post. Probably more people but I can't think of 'em.. Big Day out was fun; Unkle was fucking amazing.. Interpol were a bit blah, I enjoyed their gig at the Enmore much more than this tours'

Not got much else to report on - Will hopefully upload more when I'm not so busy busy!

Seeing MUSE tonight
For the... sixth time? Which I don't think is too bad, considering I live in Sydney and they haven't been here six times
That being said, they're playing at the Entertainment Centre and I'm in rehearsals until 5pm tonight, so won't really get a spot that's good for taking pictures. Who knows.. Maybe I'll grab a drink, have a dance, and not think about taking pictures this time around.. But I'm not sure I'll be able to resist the temptation..
Fuck, I cant wait for this gig though.. I hear they're bringing all of their production stuff If so, I'm going to be in such a happy place tomorrow
